Raven Industries introduces Switch Pro
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Raven Industries is excited to introduce Switch Pro, a simple-to-use product controller with advanced technology.
Switch Pro provides a control system when teamed up with the technology of Envizio Pro or Viper Pro field computers.
Switch Pro eliminates consoles from the cab providing more room with less clutter by combining the technology of several devices into one easy-to-use console including: single product control (liquid or ammonia), 10 boom section control, a speed sense control and AccuBoom boom section control.
With rising input costs, the payback period for new advances in precision technology has improved significantly for growers, especially when it comes to applying liquid fertilizer, ammonia and other farm chemicals. The cost savings for Switch Pro automatic section control can vary from 5 percent to 30 percent over manual operation, depending on the shape and size of the field, the type of application and the actual equipment/system used.

BASF introduces new sunflower trait
CORDOBA, Spain - BASF and Nidera announced the introduction of CLHA-Plus - a new genetic trait for the CLEARFIELD Production System for Sunflowers.
CLHA-Plus is the result of a long-term joint development program between BASF and Nidera, a leading sunflower seed breeding company.
Weed control is often one of the most limiting factors for global sunflower production. The CLEARFIELD Production System delivers control of a broad spectrum of yield-limiting broadleaf and grass weed problems in most markets around the world as a result of post emergent contact and soil activity.
CLHA-Plus makes it easier for seed companies to breed tolerance to BASF herbicides. To learn more, visit www.agro.basf.com.
