Pickin' Corn

Wednesday, July 30, 2008 11:16 AM CDT

Ed Wheeler of Sibley, Iowa, sent us this photo, taken in November 1937, of his father, Fred E. Wheeler driving the tractor, and Elmer Walker, a transient farm worker from Joplin, Mo., driving the team of horses, Dan and Bill. The tractor is a Minneapolis MTA his father purchased the previous spring and was his main tractor for the next 12 years. The tractor is still in the family.

If you have Yesteryear photos or postcards to share, please forward them to us at the following address: Tri-State Neighbor, 309 W. 43rd St., Sioux Falls, SD 57105, or e-mail high resolution photos to wsweeter@tristateneighbor.com.
