The Central Plains Holstein Show was held June 29 through July 3 at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds, Sioux Falls, S.D. Attendee Stephanie Nussbaum, South Dakota dairy princess, washes one of her heifer calves June 30, prior to the show July 2. Nussbaum says she has been showing since she was a small child. Currently a dairy production major at South Dakota State University, she says she enjoys showing because it gives her the opportunity to show off the best of her dairy herd. Nussbaum's family operates Cottonwood Ridge Dairy near Garretson, S.D. Tri-State Neighbor photo by Lura Roti
