Lau Angus, Corsica, S.D., held their annual bull and female sale March 23.

Averages

47 Bulls $2,160

10 Bred cows $2,020

16 Registered heifers $1,172

High selling bulls

Lot 1, LAU Traveler 585, a 2-26-05 son of SAV 8180 Traveler 004, sold to Assman Land & Cattle, Mission, S.D., for $5,000.

Lot 29, LAU Decade 245, a 2-18-05 son of Lau Decade, sold to Jim Buryanek, Burke, S.D., for $4,000.
  

Lot 24, LAU Foreman 385, a 2-21-05 son of TC Foreman 016, sold to Jim Buryanek for $3,500.

Lot 4, LAU Traveler JC 295, a 2-20-05 son of SAV 8180 Traveler 004, sold to Jim Guenthner, Stickney, S.D., for $3,300.

Lot 33, LAU Bando 775, a 2-28-05 son of LT 598 Bando 9074, sold to Scott Christensen, Flandreau, S.D., for $3,300.

Lot 7, LAU Traveler JC 145, a 2-16-05 son of SAV 8180 Traveler 004, sold to Debby Otten, White, S.D., for $3,000.

High selling cows

Lot 96, LVVF RR 203 of 95, a 3-22-00 daughter of GDAR Rolls Royce 203, and her 2-25-06 bull calf by Boyd Beef Maker 3069, sold to DeMers Ranch, Colome, S.D., for $2,800.

Lot 92, LVVF Traveler 1311, a 3-20-01 daughter of GDAR Traveler 044, and her 2-18-06 bull calf by RAB EGL Blue Moon 4407M, sold to DeMers Ranch for $2,700.

Lot 90, LVVF Traveler JC 1211, a 3-25-01 daughter of GDAR Traveler 71, and her 3-11-06 bull calf by DM Mayor 1124, sold to DeMers Ranch for $2,700.

High selling open heifer

Lot 59, Lau Blackbird 615, a 2-26-05 daughter of LT 598 Bando 9074, sold to Kirk Roecker, Denison, Iowa, for $2,100.

Volume bull buyers were Jim DeBoer, Corsica, S.D., and Jim Buryanek, Burke, S.D.

Volume heifer buyer was Jim Fastert, Rock Rapids, Iowa.

Volume commercial heifer buyer was Jeff Watt, Estelline, S.D.

The auctioneer was Col. Al Conover. The sale manager was Conover Auction Service Inc., Al and Jeanne Conover, Baxter, Iowa.
